TIME Economic FORUM

We meet at the Time Economic Forum. It is one of the biggest events of the digital economy in Poland, as well as in our region of Europe. This event connects the worlds that so far have developed separately, i.e. communication, IT and the financial sector - says Michał Polasik, professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

One of the topics of this year's TIME Fair was the digitisation of finance. - The road to the full digitization of finances, the departure from cash is still very far away. Nobody is going to withdraw this cash by force. The decision will certainly be up to the consumers whether they want to use it. Undoubtedly, at today's stage of technology development, cash is still needed both for consumers who are used to it and prefer it or make little use of the electronic economy.

Observing the Scandinavian countries, where this cash has indeed been reduced very significantly, to certain niches, and in everyday life many people do not use it at all, there will undoubtedly be some generational change in Poland as well.
